‘Wake up’ – Simon Jordan hits out at Rangers board after what John Gilligan said

‘Wake up’ – Simon Jordan hits out at Rangers board after what John Gilligan said.

In response to remarks made by Dave King, Simon Jordan criticized Rangers interim chairman John Gilligan during his press conference.

In an interview with TalkSPORT on September 24, at 11:13 a.m., the co-host expressed his unwavering opinion of Gilligan following his separation with King, the team’s biggest shareholder, and his declaration that the team was in a “crisis.”

Following the retirement of John Bennett, Gilligan assumed the interim position; nonetheless, Jordan claimed that Gilligan’s behavior toward King was indicative of the dire circumstances facing the boardroom at the moment.

“Well, that was inspiring,” he remarked. “That sounds like a leader.” Who is he to decide what constitutes a legitimate shareholder? He owns 15% of the company and is the largest individual stakeholder, thus he is free to run the company whatever he pleases.

That sums up everything I need to know about the Rangers boardroom’s aptitude, caliber, attitude, motivation, and vigor, in my opinion.

“It doesn’t look like a leader, and if that’s the board, then they really need a wake-up and a shake-up,” the speaker said.

Rangers need change, and John Gilligan can’t deliver it.

Two alternative perspectives exist regarding Gilligan’s desire to conceal King’s remarks and remove the biggest shareholder from the board, neither of which will give supporters any peace of mind.

As the acting chairman, Gilligan has important goals to meet, such as selecting a new CEO, but his first priority is to keep things running smoothly rather than handing over the reins to someone else right away.

Gilligan’s efforts to refute the shareholder’s truthful assessments of the club’s situation, notwithstanding King’s prior experience in that same capacity at Ibrox, are by no means beneficial.

The fact that Bennett resigned and that James Bisgrove left the team without a CEO after only a few months indicates that the Gers are in dire need of fresh ideas and funding.

Fans of the Light Blues will be waiting for a new savior to arrive since doing more of the same will not satisfy those who want to see the team reach its maximum potential.
