BBC NES; West Brom might axe a star who makes more than Maja and Johnston combined.
Josh Maja has been fantastic for his promotion-chasing team thus far, overcoming any injury concerns that hindered his first full season in the West Midlands to eventually become a goal machine.
Maja’s Season So Far
The former Sunderland youth product has been a revelation for Corberan’s side this season, having only managed to stay fit for 12 Championship games last year, with only one pitiful goal coming his way.
The 25-year-old forward is now the Baggies’ top scorer, with six goals in six league matches, including the winning goal against Wayne Rooney’s Pilgrims.
Corberan’s team aims to maintain their position at the top of the second tier by continuing to score every 81 minutes.
West Brom are achieving these sensational results despite not getting the best out of Mikey Johnston on his permanent return, having been placed on the substitutes bench for his first two league games back at the Baggies, with the West Brom manager well aware that the former Celtic man can tear second-tier defences apart when at his peak.
