These Are Meant To Be: League One Star Makes Bold Statement About Tottenham Hotspur U21s.

Exeter City goalkeeper Shaun MacDonald has highlighted that his side’s opponents in the EFL Trophy, Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s, are reputed to have some of the greatest players in the entire country.

Ange Postecoglou has been able to wipe aside some of the criticism he received after defeating Brentford last weekend, but Spurs Under-21s team have not made a convincing start to their Premier League 2 season.

They have won only one of their first four matches, but have a wonderful opportunity to return to winning ways tonight as they play Exeter City in the EFL Trophy.

The likes of Will Lankshear, Aflie Dorrington and Tyrese Hall are regarded great prospects at Spurs and Exeter goalkeeper MacDonald is looking forward to playing them.

MacDonald emphasized that the Spurs’ starlets are regarded as some of the top prospects in the country, and that, while Exeter will have an age advantage, the opponents should not be overlooked.

“They [Spurs Under-21s] will be younger than us,” MacDonald stated in a news conference before of the Grecians’ match tonight.

“However, these are said to be some of the top young talents in the country emerging.
