Just In: Celtic will surpass club record after astonishing £120 million+ reveal – Stefan Borson.
Celtic’s revenue is expected to climb again this season as a result of the additional cash available from competing in the Champions League.
That is the opinion of finance expert Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that the Glasgow giants are “unique” because they are the only Scottish team competing in European football’s elite club championship.
Celtic released its 2023-24 accounts on September 16, revealing that revenue increased from £119.9 million to a new club record £124.6 million, representing a 3.9% rise over the previous year.
Brendan Rodgers’ team qualified for the Champions League, won the Scottish Premiership, and won the Scottish Cup, ensuring they made a profit for the third year in a row.
Celtic have had a terrific start to the season, winning all five league games and reaching the Scottish League Cup semi-finals with a 5-2 win against Falkirk.
They also won their first game in the new Champions League league phase, defeating Slovan Bratislava 5-1.
