Amari Cooper to face Raiders for the first time

Amari Cooper will be on the field for a Raiders game for the first time since 2018 Sunday when the Cleveland Browns visit Allegiant Stadium.

Cooper will be attending a Las Vegas Raiders game for the first time.

Naturally, in exchange for a 2019 first-round selection, the Raiders surrendered the Dallas Cowboys their No. 4 overall pick from the 2015 draft in 2018. In 2022, Cooper was dealt by the Cowboys to the Browns.

This is the first Raiders-Browns game since 2021, when he was injured when the Raiders defeated the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day in 2021.

So, this will be a homecoming of sorts for Cooper.

Cooper’s time with the Raiders was intriguing. After leaving Alabama, he didn’t always live up to his high expectations and occasionally vanished. But he did home some nice moments.

In his first two seasons, he totalled 155 receptions for 2,233 yards and 11 touchdowns. After being traded away from the Raiders, he has now reached the 1,000-yard receiving mark four times, including his first two Cleveland seasons. For the 1-2 Browns this season, he has 12 receptions for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
