Watch as future Buckeye Eli Lee discusses his future at Ohio State and more

Bucknuts attended Friday night’s game between Cleveland St. Ignatius and Akron Hoban. On the field, there was plenty of talent, including Ohio State linebacker commitment Eli Lee with three 2026 Buckeye scholarship offers, cornerback Elbert Hill and offensive tackle Sam Greer for Hoban, and offensive lineman Will Conroy from St. Ignatius. Cody Haddad, a St. Ignatius safety and Ohio State pledge, did not participate due to a re-injury to his hand, which had caused him to miss much of his junior season.

Hoban dominated the game, and the Knights never trailed in their 45-14 triumph over St. Ignatius.

Lee had another solid game for Hoban, recording seven tackles, including a sack and one tackle for loss.

After the game, Lee spoke with Bucknuts about how things are going with the Ohio State coaches, his recruiting job for the Buckeyes, when he will arrive at Ohio State, his first season goals, how he will be used in the Buckeyes’ defense, and more.

Lee declared his commitment to the Buckeyes on October 21, 2023.

Lee, who stands 6 feet 3 and weighs 230 pounds, is a 3-star recruit according to the 247Sports composite. He is the nation’s No. 470 overall prospect, the No. 47 linebacker, and the No. 19 prospect in Ohio.
