Seismic Rangers claim made as far-East ‘investor’ looking at club right now amid personal links to Ibrox

The claims are made with an assessment of Rangers manager Philippe Clement.

A former Scottish football CEO has alleged that an investor in the Far East is currently considering Rangers as a potential investment option.

Currently, the Light Blues’ leadership is in change. CEO James Bisgrove unexpectedly left for Saudi Arabia this summer, and the Rangers are currently looking for a replacement.

Chairman John Bennett has stepped down, and they are looking for a permanent replacement. Manager Philippe Clement signed a contract extension in the summer, but an up-and-down start to the season has increased scrutiny of him.
Wins over Dundee United and Dundee have helped to calm things down. Former Aberdeen CEO Keith Wyness alleges that he has heard that an investor in the far east with ties to Ibrox is looking at Rangers, and that new money is what he believes is required.
According to the former CEO, a fresh start is the best way to move forward. An investor from the Far East is currently interested in Rangers. He already has connections to the club, and bringing in another investor and a new leadership team is exactly what the club needs. “They need that to rebuild properly.”

Meanwhile, Wyness hopes that the boardroom unknowns do not start to affect Clement on the pitch. He said, “I hope this gives Clement a longer leash.” Aside from boardroom turbulence, the Rangers do not need on-pitch turmoil.

“But these clubs descend into instability, which frequently leads to chaos on the pitch. They need to get a handle on this and stop the infighting. But there is history and tradition, and I am not optimistic that Clement will hold on. We could see Rangers in a true spiral.”
