Celtic team announced for new masters tournament, BBC coverage confirmed

Celtic are participating in this year’s Masters Football series, which will be held on November 14th in Aberdeen.

The Bhoys have won the six-a-side competition twice since its rebranding, with victories over Rangers, Heart of Midlothian, and Hibernian in the last year.

This year’s competition will be held live in Aberdeen’s P&J indoor arena rather than Braehead, providing an opportunity to watch some former club legends on the road around Scotland.

Good news for Celtic fans in the North East: there were significant issues with the pitch last year, so hopefully that will not happen again this year.

With excitement building for the Masters’ return, information about who will play for Celtic and where supporters can watch the action have surfaced.

The Celtic Masters Football team includes Stiliyan Petrov, Scott Brown, Charlie Mulgrew, Simon Donnelly, Gary Hooper, Darren O’Dea, Joe Ledley, and Michael McGovern.

The midfield and attack have panache, and Scott Brown is expected to be a popular addition.

Charlie Mulgrew, a cultured defender who recently retired from competitive football, is expected to be in better shape than his teammates.

Stiliyan Petrov brings a strong background to the engine room, while Michael McGovern takes over between the sticks. Gary Hooper, Joe Ledley, Simon Donnelly, and Darren O’Dea have all kept their places from last year.

Celtic fans can look forward to some exciting clashes. If you’re in the Aberdeen region in mid-November, why not go along, relax, and enjoy the nostalgia of some Hoops great rolling back the years against tough competition!
