Carlos Corberan issues big West Brom injury update – player could return for Sheffield Wednesday clash

Carlos Corberan issues big West Brom injury update – player could return for Sheffield Wednesday clash.

A West Brom player is considered questionable for Saturday’s match against Sheffield Wednesday, according to Carlos Corberan.

Due to Jayson Molumby’s unavailability for the Baggies’ 1-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle over the weekend, Corberan made his first starting lineup alteration of the year.

Uros Racic performed admirably in centre midfield with Alex Mowatt after joining the squad. Five times the Sassuolo loanee was dribbled past, yet he still managed an 83% passing success rate, setting up Josh Maja’s winner in the 62nd minute.

As the campaign goes on, Racic will undoubtedly play more regularly, but considering how well the Irishman has performed, Molumby has essentially been left with little to lose. Corberan may soon face the challenge of deciding which of the two players to start because Molumby is anticipated to return from a minor ailment soon.

Following Plymouth’s victory, Corberan stated, “Fortunately, it is not a major injury.” He had a grade one B calf injury, which will keep him away from the team for seven to ten days.

This timeline, which dates back to before the match against Argyle, puts Molumby in the running to travel to Sheffield on Wednesday. Molumby could return to the team with a strong pair of training sessions at the end of the week, however, there are no promises.

West Brom is riding high in the championship standings after winning five of their last six games, and they will be at Hillsborough on Monday. Wednesday is an excellent day to play as well, since Danny Rohl’s team has only managed to claim four of the 24 points that are available.

Albion will be eager to cause as much suffering as possible on Wednesday and solidify their advantage at the top of the Championshi.
