As he sent Arijanet Muric the wrong way to slot home, Dibling displayed his talent and confidence. He also shared a photo of himself leaving the tunnel prior to kickoff on Instagram, writing the message, “Excellent feeling scoring in the premier league,” after the game. Sam Amo-Ameyaw, an 18-year-old, is another rising talent from Southampton’s academy that is playing in the Premier League this season besides Dibling. In response to Dibling’s post, Amo-Ameyaw and Jayden Meghoma—who recently signed with Brentford after leaving Southampton—both quickly posted a heart emoji.
Shea Charles replied, “So good,” indicating that he is obviously keeping an eye on his parent club despite being on loan at Sheffield Wednesday this season. Since entering the starting lineup, Dibling has emerged as Southampton’s most dangerous attacker, displaying maturity well beyond this season. Martin will keep coaching the young player and hopes he can build on his successful senior football debut.
