Former Celtic star makes bold eight-word Birmingham City statement as he thinks about nothing but clear goal

Former Celtic player declares his unwavering focus on a defined aim in an audacious eight-word declaration to Birmingham City.

During the transfer window, he traded Birmingham City for Celtic.

Tomoki Iwata is adamant that in order to lead Birmingham City back to the Premier League, he has traded Celtic for the team.

The St Andrew’s team was relegated from the English Championship the previous season, and they now play in League One. In an attempt to return to the second division, they have made significant transfers throughout the transfer window; one of their new additions was the Celtic holding midfielder.

The Birmingham City squad has a lot of SPFL flair thanks to Alex Cochrane’s move from Hearts, Scott Wright, and Ben Davies from Rangers. Iwata made a grand entrance to win this week’s 3-1 victory over Wrexham, thereby winning over his newfound supporters.

Now that he is with the League One team, his objective is obvious. The midfield player has only one goal in mind: to lead Birmingham City back to the Premier League and watch them play on the greatest platform in English football.

Iwata brashly said, “Only one thing, promotion to the Premier League,” when questioned about his goals.

“This is why I came here,” he continued. I will give Blues everything I have since Birmingham holds a special place in my heart. I’ll use every effort to ensure the team’s victory. All I have on my mind is visiting the Premier League.

In 2023, Iwata left J League team Yokohama F. Marinos to join Celtic on loan. Even though that was made permanent that summer, he was unable to establish a consistent midfield position for himself.
