Celtic Could be Set for £11m Winter Cash Boost
If a possible trade involving former player Jeremie Frimpong materialises, Celtic might get a huge financial windfall this winter.
The Netherlands international, who is now with Bayer Leverkusen, is reportedly attracting interest from Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, according to sources from Foot Mercato.
Due to a sell-on clause from when they sold Frimpong to Leverkusen, Celtic will receive 30% of the transfer fee profit, even if Chelsea is reportedly mulling a £50 million offer.
Celtic might profit roughly £11 million from this arrangement.
Celtic has already released its financial statements, revealing that the team is doing well both on and off the pitch,
with £77 million already in the bank.
With the Champions League structure changed and a win already under their belt, the team is expected to generate a
healthy profit this season as well.
Being a Celtics supporter is great right now because the team is winning the league, getting off to a strong start in the
Champions League, and this weekend is the league cup quarterfinals.
Falkirk will present a challenge to the Hoops, who have gone 43 games without losing under McGlynn. The Bairns
will try to exploit the Celtic club, who are expected to rotate their players a lot.
