In tomorrow’s match against Falkirk, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has alluded to switching up his starting lineup.
In the Scottish League Cup quarterfinals, the Hoops will host the Bairns in Glasgow’s east end.
While John McGlynn’s team is playing well, the Bhoys have also had an excellent start to the season, winning all of their games thus far.
The most recent occurred on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League when the Celtics thrashed Slovan Bratislava.
On a historic night at Parkhead, Liam Scales, Adam Idah, Daizen Maeda, Arne Engels, and Kyogo Furuhashi all joined in on the fun.
However, Hoops manager Aaron Rodgers is anticipated to make a few changes to his squad for tomorrow’s game in light of the midweek matchup.
Although Falkirk is currently performing well, the manager can afford to switch up his starting lineup, as he alluded to yesterday during his news conference.
“Having a strong squad is useless if you aren’t going to use them,” he stated (Celtic FC on YouTube).
“There wasn’t exactly the same need at the beginning of the season when we were only playing one game each week, but we are about to embark on a run of six games in 23 days, and there is no way I will be using the same team in every one of those games.
“As the season progresses, I need to have a strong mentality and maintain that intensity.”
For the past two games, Rodgers has stuck with the same starting lineup, but this weekend that will surely change.
The manager has the perfect opportunity tomorrow to make changes to his squad and give Auston Trusty and Alex Valle, the recent additions, more playing time.
Luke McCowan is unable to participate due to a cup tie, although Adam Idah, James Forrest, Paulo Bernardo, and Anthony Ralston might all be added to the starting eleven.
