Pundits totally agree about Nottingham Forest as they make Brighton predictions

Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive as pundits Paul Merson and Chris Sutton predict Premier League clash at Brighton.

Nottingham Forest will look to continue their unbeaten start to the new Premier League season at Brighton on Sunday (2pm).

The two teams are tied on eight points after four matches, with Brighton in sixth place and Forest in seventh. The Reds will come to the Amex with confidence after defeating Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield the previous time out, with Callum Hudson-Odoi scoring the winning goal.
Pundits Paul Merson and Chris Sutton have both predicted the match’s score.

Merson told Sportskeeda: “Nottingham Forest were amazing against Liverpool at Anfield. But I think this is a very difficult game for them.

“Brighton would have been upset with their goalless draw with Ipswich Town last Saturday. They did win the Carabao Cup 3-0, which is good news for the Seagulls.

“I believe Forest will gain another point here just because of how they performed at Anfield. “If they lost that game, I’d root for Brighton.”Nuno Espirito Santo will continue to the same plan he used against Liverpool, which is fine because it worked so brilliantly the other day.

“But Forest need be careful not to fall behind one or two goals early in this game because Brighton move the ball much faster than Liverpool. A draw may be an excellent outcome for Forest.”
Speaking to the BBC, Sutton said: “It is difficult to anticipate a defeat for Nottingham Forest now because they were so good against Liverpool, and their backline of Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo, Alex Moreno, and Ola Aina were just fantastic.

“Forest also had James Ward-Prowse sitting in front of their back four, ticking things over, and Ryan Yates alongside him, getting on everyone’s nerves with his tenacity.”

“Their substitutes also had an impact on the game at Anfield, and the entire team remained composed.

“So, while I believe Brighton is capable of scoring, given what I saw from Forest, why would I predict they will lose?

“I don’t think Brighton will lose at home either, so I am really sorry, but I am going to have to go for another draw.”

Sutton’s prediction: 1–1.
