Why Newcastle United wants to go for a significant £43 million deal The Nottingham Forest star is quite logical.
It’s easy to understand why the Magpies might be interested in signing the Forest midfielder, who has been linked to them recently.
It’s easy to understand why Morgan Gibbs-White, a star for Nottingham Forest, is reportedly under intense observation by Newcastle United.
Before they returned to the Premier League in August 2022, there was some surprise when Forest paid approximately £42.5 million to sign the England Under-21 player. Still, after making 84 appearances across all competitions and tallying 12 goals and 18 assists, Gibbs-White has shown himself to be somewhat of a wise addition over time and has become as a key member of the Forest team. The attacking midfielder received his first cap earlier this month when he came on as a substitute in the 2-0 victory over Republic of Ireland. His efforts were also rewarded with his first senior call-up to the England team. Due to Gibbs-White’s call-up, the Three Lions interim manager in 1997 became the first Forest player to represent England at the senior level.
“I’m sure people will be more aware of Morgan,” he said to Sky Sports following the announcement of his first England squad. He is an extremely dynamic, inventive, and exciting attacking player. He works very hard and has an amazing attitude. In addition to being incredibly tough to play against, I thought it was crucial that he had achieved great success with England. A significant number of the players we have contacted are accustomed to winning and progressing to the later stages of competitions. Morgan won the European Championship with the under-21 team and was a member of the World Cup winning team years ago.
