3 reasons the Raiders could continue to shock the NFL in 2024

3 reasons the Raiders could continue to shock the NFL in 2024.

The Las Vegas Raiders appear to be better than anyone could have predicted in 2024 after just two games.

The Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Baltimore Ravens 26-23 on the road on Sunday, pulling off an incredible comeback victory after trailing by ten points in the third quarter. The Raiders were a massive underdog going into the game, and the Silver and Black have never had much luck while playing on the road, particularly on the East Coast.

But in some way, the Raiders were able to remain in the contest long enough for quarterback Gardner Minshew to lead his team to a victory via comeback. Despite only having played two games, the Raiders seem to be improving. They had trouble against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1 and early in this one.

3. Raiders coaching staff is not afraid to make adjustments

It was evident early on against the Ravens that Luke Getsy’s gameplan and the offence were not clicking. The offence had the same kind of weaknesses that we saw against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1, even though the defence managed to keep the Silver and Black in the game.

Nevertheless, after Getsy made his changes in the second half, the offence flourished and used the passing game to move the ball downfield to the playmakers. Lamar Jackson also had a great game plan from defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, since Las Vegas was able to apply pressure to him the entire game.

Antonio Pierce has positioned himself for success as an NFL head coach with a solid group of coaches surrounding him. When things get hard, he and his team don’t hesitate to try anything else, which is a positive indication that they might have the proper people in place to finish the project by 2024.
