Sunderland transfer target frozen out by French giants after returning from loan ‘overweight’ – report

Sunderland transfer target frozen out by French giants after returning from loan ‘overweight’ – Report.

Sunderland was said to have tried to sign Ayman Kari right up until the trade deadline last month. Ayman Kari, who was said to be a transfer target
for Sunderland, is no longer liked by his parent club Paris Saint-Germain after coming back from a loan spell with FC Lorient overweight, according
to new reports in the French media.
It was said that Regis Le Bris’s team was pushing for a last-minute loan deal for the teenage playmaker, and the Black Cats were linked with a late move for him last month.
It looks like that deal never went through, and if these new rumours from Le10 Sport are true, Sunderland may have gotten lucky by not being able to
get Kari to the Stadium of Light. The 19-year-old was supposed to go back to Paris and play for PSG’s first team this season, but that hasn’t happened yet.
According to this report, the player wasn’t physically ready to play for Luis Enrique’s team when he joined them. Le10 Sport say that Kari “returned
overweight”, and that he showed a lack of motivation in pre-season, which has also displeased his manager.
Because of this, Enrique hasn’t thought about using him yet this season, and as of this writing, he hasn’t played a single minute for the Ligue 1 giants.
Last season, Kari recorded 918 minutes across 15 games for Lorient, but saw his game time restricted due to two different injuries.
The prospect also worked with Le Bris, who is now the head coach of Sunderland, while he was in Brittany, but the club was sent back to Ligue 2 at the end of the 2023–24 season.
Foot Mercato reported earlier this month that Kari wants to get out of his deal with PSG so that he can move for free to a team that is more like his old
team. The French youth international only has one year left on his current deal at the Parc des Princes.
Antwerp, FC Nantes, and other Ligue 1 and Premier League teams are said to have turned down their offers.
