Blackburn Rovers to be backed by huge away following for Preston North End clash after new update

Up to 5,678 supporters of Blackburn Rovers may support the team ahead of this weekend’s trip to rival Preston North End, according to a recent ticketing update.

Blackburn Rovers are a happy club following an incredible start to the new year.

After they just avoided relegation the previous time, many put John Eustace’s team down as a candidate for relegation. But after three victories and two draws in their first five Championship games, they were one of just three unbeaten teams remaining, sitting third in the Championship standings.

After being eliminated from the Carabao Cup, they are not playing this week, which allows the Rovers team more time to get ready for this weekend’s Lancashire derby against Preston North End.

A sizable crowd is expected to support Eustace’s team during the short trip to Deepdale, and Blackburn Rovers have released an update that shows how many supporters may be in the away end.

Eight hundred seats have been made available for purchase after their initial allocation of 3,878 and the additional 1,000 tickets added to it were sold out. It implies that while 4,878 will be the minimum, as many as 5,678 Rovers supporters might swarm Deepdale on Sunday afternoon.

When Blackburn Rovers played Preston North End in the local rivalry, a sizable crowd was always sure to turn out. However, with their current winning streak plus two additional allocations from their opponents, there will undoubtedly be a sizable fan base for the major game.

At Ewood Park, optimism is high due to their successful summer transfer window conclusion and outstanding start to the campaign. These large ticket sales appear to be reflecting that, and that will only help the players.

A loud and enthusiastic crowd for the match against rivals Preston will lessen the intensity of the away derby atmosphere.

Although Preston North End will undoubtedly be competitive against their local rivals, at this early point in the season, the momentum is unquestionably with the visitors.

Following Ryan Lowe’s early dismissal, Paul Heckingbottom is now in charge of the Lilywhites. Thus far in the Championship, he has managed one victory, one draw, and one defeat, leaving North End in 21st place with four points.

On derby day, form can go out the window, but Blackburn Rovers will be optimistic of another victory since they have a large crowd behind them and the wind in their sails.
