Future opponents of Leeds United are debating a big move following a “disastrous” start – talkSPORT

In the Championship, Leeds United will next play Cardiff City in an attempt to bounce back after a dismal loss to Burnley. The Bluebirds’ bench may also change.

Leeds is still getting over their opening league loss of the year after failing to exploit a compact Burnley defense after breaking to take the lead.

It was reasonable to question Leeds’s inability to capitalize on their complete possession advantage against the Clarets, and the only goal at this point is to get back on track.

Leeds face hapless Cardiff City next away from home, Bluebirds rock bottom after five

Leeds’ next match is away to Cardiff City, where Daniel Farke will have the perfect opportunity to resume winning ways as the Bluebirds have only managed a point from their first five games.

With just one goal scored and the joint-highest amount of goals conceded (11) under Erol Bulut, their performance has left them at the bottom of the standings.

In an effort to put more pressure on Bulut in the dugout, Cardiff recently traveled to newly promoted Derby County, where they were defeated 1-0 by the Rams.

Erol Bulut facing Cardiff City sack decision this week – Reports

TalkSPORT is now claiming that following a “disastrous start” to the 24/25 season, Cardiff is thinking of firing manager Bulut this week.

Bulut’s situation in South Wales appears dire, as he has lost all five of his games and has only managed one goal and one point thus far. There are currently rumors circulating that his club is considering splitting up.

Only in June did Bulut sign a new contract committing him to two more years at Cardiff City Stadium; with Leeds up next, the team may be about to reverse that choice.

Lack of quality all over has cost Bulut, but hopefully Leeds don’t face a new manager bounce

Bulut will be really lucky to survive the week leading up to the Leeds match, considering how awful Cardiff has been this year and how concerning that ought to be for them.

We hope that, in the near future, his departure won’t lead to a significant amount of beneficial change.

When a coach is fired, we frequently witness a “new manager bounce,” in which the players suddenly have more energy.

Leeds should be able to handle Cardiff anyhow, but it’s not a good thing when the opposition gets a boost.
