5 major Celtic Park upgrades as home of the champions gets makeover
In recent months, the wealthy Lakers have made improvements to a number of elements of their stadium.
Brendan Rodgers eventually acquired the players he desired, but not before Celtic spent a fortune in the summer transfer window.
But the Hoops administration has also been heavily investing in other initiatives and stadium infrastructure renovations. Reportedly, the Scottish champions invested millions on a state-of-the-art refurbishment of their Barrowfield Training Centre, situated in the heart of Glasgow’s East End.The multi-million dollar structure, which is scheduled for completion in November 2024, will house the club’s boys’ and girls’ academies and act as the new training base for the Celtic FC Women’s First Team. Renovations have also been made to the Double-winners’ Lennoxtown training centre, which now includes a new medical/treatment complex.
Celtic also commissioned a global fan survey earlier this year, soliciting feedback from supporters on a wide range of topics, including food and the possibility of a new standing section. And the Glasgow giants began work over the summer to renovate their famous stadium into a more modern arena worthy of the club’s European stature.Director’s box
While the Green Brigade makes all the ruckus in the North Curve standing section, the prawn sandwich brigade’s bottoms will be kept warm with comfortable new executive chairs erected this summer. The director’s box in the main stand, which provides the greatest views of the stadium, now features brand new black leather chairs for the club’s hierarchy and VIP guests to enjoy.
