Sunderland’s encouraging ticket sales numbers are made public prior to their Championship match against Middlesbrough.

This Saturday at the Stadium of Light is Sunderland’s Championship matchup against Middlesbrough.

For their matchup with Middlesbrough this weekend, Sunderland has sold 36,439 tickets.

Middlesbrough will be welcomed to the Stadium of Light by the Black Cats, who lost their perfect record against Plymouth Argyle last Saturday in the Championship at Home Park.

Up to now in 2024–25, Sunderland has won away from home against Portsmouth and Cardiff City and at the Stadium of Light against Sheffield Wednesday and Burnley, all in front of crowds of over 40,000 people, including hospitality guests and away supporters.

As per the website SAFC Ticket Tracker, Sunderland are believed to have sold around 36,439 tickets for the clash against Middlesbrough with 1,257 remaining. Most of the 36,439 figure are season card holders with away fans and hospitality numbers expected to boost the final total attendance to well over 40,000. The website also states that 96.67 per cent of the available seats have now been sold.
