Manor Solomon, who signed for Leeds United on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, has impressed Jamie O’Hara.
On Wednesday night [4 September], O’Hara and Jason Cundy told a Leeds-supporting radio listener live on talkSPORT that they believe Solomon is a “good player”.
Daniel Farke brought the 25-year-old winger to the club on loan from Spurs last week, and he had an immediate impact, assisting Mateo Joseph and playing the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Hull City.
Responding to the caller’s belief that some exciting additions had been made at Elland Road, O’Hara added, “You got Solomon from Spurs, didn’t you?
“He’s okay; I liked him. “He’s a good player.
Leeds United aim to get the best out of Manor Solomon
Solomon, who has struggled to get regular games at Tottenham, is definitely a guy Leeds United should be interested in.
With a solid age profile and a point to prove, there is every reason to believe the wide man can make a substantial contribution to the club’s promotion push this season.
Farke still has a relatively thin roster in certain places, but he does have a few attacking alternatives, with Solomon, Brenden Aaronson, Willy Gnonto, Dan James, Largie Ramazani, and Joel Piroe being fairly interchangeable in the three behind the striker.
It says a lot that Farke threw Solomon in for the full 90 minutes on his debut at Elland Road last Saturday, whilst other players were generally introduced gradually.
If he remains fit, he will be a key acquisition for the team, and if he continues to perform well, he might become a good permanent signing.
