As he disclosed how close the two are off the field, CASPER De Norre stated that Zian Flemming’s departure constitutes a major loss for Millwall.
On the day of the transfer deadline, Dutchman Flemming left the team to sign a season-long loan with Burnley, which is expected to become a permanent move worth over £7 million next summer.
The Belgian De Norre gave Flemming a lot of credit when he thought back on his departure.
He’s a dear friend of mine and a really talented player. It will be a loss for us because we share an apartment complex, speak the same language, and he is a terrific teammate and member of the group, De Norre told NewsAtDen.
“Losing someone with his kind of presence both on and off the field will undoubtedly have an effect. However, I also think that we have somewhat made up for his loss with the arrival of the new guys.
“With the team we have, I think we’ll be ready for the early part of the season.”
“Zian will be a miss on and off the pitch,” De Norre said.Since Flemming moved to the Clarets, De Norre has remained in contact with him.
