Amanda Staveley ‘forced out of Newcastle’ as new ‘leak’ emerges – Keith Wyness

As further and more “leaks” emerge from the team, former Everton manager Keith Wyness said that Amanda Staveley was “forced out” of Newcastle.

The 66-year-old, who ran a football consultancy advising elite clubs after serving as CEO at Goodison Park from 2004 to 2009, said on the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that Magpies fans will be closely monitoring the team and Darren Eales because they held the former co-owners in high regards

According to the Daily Mail (31 August), Newcastle CEO Eales felt Staveley and husband Mehrdad Ghodoussi had too much power at the club. The duo departed over the summer and sold their shares at St James’ Park in a sudden and shocking move. They facilitated the Saudi-backed takeover in 2021 and stayed on as co-owners in a successful few years on Tyneside.

Newcastle fans watching Eales closely as Staveley ‘forced out’, says Wyness

Wyness praised Staveley and Ghodoussi for their efforts at Newcastle and asserted that they handled the transfer “very successfully.”

“This has been leaked and there are so many leaks coming out of the club after Amanda Staveley’s departure,” he said on Football Insider’s Insider Track program.

It appears that she was ejected by force.

The reason the fans are keeping a close eye on Newcastle and Darren Eales is because they were big admirers of Amanda’s behavior during her first year or two.

“They didn’t do anything knee-jerk, they were very successful in handling that transition.

“Staveley made thoughtful decisions, and I support them for that.

“However, there appear to be dissenting opinions coming out of the top.”
