The future of Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams has been a hot subject this summer. If the Raiders struggle again this season, Adams could be on his way out.
Of course, most fans are quite excited about his joining the New York Jets and reconnecting with his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.
However, ESPN expert Mina Kimes believes Adams might join the Washington Commanders midway through the season.
“The Commanders strike me as a team that is going to be like just feisty enough to want to do this (trade for Adams),” Kimes recently said on The Domonique Foxworth Show.
A move like this is dependent on the development of No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels.
The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback is thought to be the man who can guide the Commanders into the future.
If he demonstrates that he is worthy of the second overall pick, particularly early this year, the Commanders may attempt to acquire him even more assistance midway through the season.
1,000-yard scrimmage back Brian Robinson Jr. and Pro Bowl wide receiver Terry McLaurin are both in the fold too.
This offseason, the team signed former Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz and veteran running back Austin Ekeler.
Brian Robinson Jr., a 1,000-yard scrimmage back, and Terry McLaurin, a Pro Bowl wide receiver, are also participating.
If Washington is in playoff contention in October and November but Las Vegas is not, this move isn’t such a crazy notion.
The fact that both teams compete in different conferences lends credibility to this move.
