I was as excited as any Albion supporter when I learned we were bringing Mikey Johnston back for good.
In a recent column, I expressed hope that it was still possible. So I was very pleased.
It would have been fantastic if he could have played for us against Swansea, but that was not to be. He’ll have all of the rest and preparation he needs before we start in Portsmouth in around ten days.
We now have wide players that are very effective in that region of the pitch, which is critical in this competition.
Not only does he have that electric spark and the capacity to win matches, but he also works tirelessly for the team. He is more than just a dazzling winger.
I’m convinced he can make a comparable impact as his loan. When I interact with fans now, they are ecstatic; they can’t wait till after the break, when the entire team is together!
