Ally Robertson: I was happy to see Magic Mikey Johnston back to West Brom.

I was as delighted as any Albion supporter when I learned we were bringing Mikey Johnston back for good.

In a recent piece, I expressed hope that it was still possible. So I was quite pleased.

It would have been fantastic if he could have played for us against Swansea, but that was not to be. He’ll have all of the rest and preparation he needs before we start in Portsmouth in around ten days.

We now have wide players that are very effective in that region of the game, which is critical in this competition.

Not only does he have that electrifying spark and the capacity to win matches, but he also works tirelessly for the team. He is more than simply a dazzling winger.

I’m convinced he can make a comparable effect as his loan. When I interact with supporters today, they are ecstatic; they can’t wait till after the break, when the entire squad is together!
