The Detroit Lions believe the Los Angeles Rams have improved since they defeated them in the playoffs eight months ago under Dan Campbell’s leadership.

The Rams’ improved offensive and defensive lines, as well as their skill players, make Sunday Night Football a challenging season opening.

According to Aidan Hutchinson, Week 1 games can be hard due to clubs’ preseason strategies and the absence of key starters.

“It’ll be intriguing. You worry whether they have changed their minds about what they want to accomplish. But you never truly know. Hutchinson admitted that preparing for Week 1 games might be challenging due to a lack of footage. “Perhaps they wish to shift their mindset with this or that. At the end of the day, all we can do is stick to our standards and what we’re doing on defense.”

This year, the Rams might be without two offensive line starters: Alaric Jackson is banned, while Rob Havenstein may miss the opening due to an ankle injury.

“I believe it helps because we played them last year. So you already have a decent understanding of their offensive line, including some of their main players,” Hutchinson said. “In terms of injuries and the guy who just got suspended, I’m just going to be out there (against) whoever they put in front of me.” I don’t really care. That has always been the approach, and it will be so on Sunday.”

During his weekly radio appearance on 97.1 The Ticket, Dan Campbell stressed that the squad would continue to focus on their strengths.

“I think what you do, first of all you’re gonna take what you do well and what you feel like you’ve mastered through training camp,” Campbell told the media. “You’re going to trust the players that have been the most consistent for you throughout time, as well as during training camp, to make plays.

“When it comes to the opponent, I honestly believe that most of the work has been done during training camp. “You’d like to believe that,” Campbell said. “And what I mean by that is that you’ve tried each other enough, coordinators, coaches, and players, and you’re continuously attempting to manipulate one another. You’re attempting to nitpick and find flaws in what they do. I believe it drives you to adjust, which is quite important.”

The Rams will have running backs Kyren Williams and a familiar figure from his time with the Michigan Wolverines. The Rams picked Blake Corum in the third round of this year’s draft.

“Blake was a tough opponent in practice at Michigan.” “It’s always fun to play against your old teammates,” Hutchinson added. “He is a Michigan all-time legend. He’s an excellent player, and I’m looking forward to it. I believe all of those backs share a similar physique and play style. I wish him the best, but not in week one.”
