Celtic are trying to make new additions and have made an enquiry about recruiting a Premier League winner.
The Scottish champions got their title defence off to a great start by beating 4-0 last weekend, and they hope to build on that with fresh recruits.
Celtic are negotiating a permanent contract for Adam Idah at £6 million or more, according to TBR.
And it appears that Celtic are once again looking to the English game for a new signing.
Celtic make enquiry to sign Jeffrey Schlupp
The Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel reports that the Bhoys are considering signing Crystal Palace’s £12 million winger, Jeffrey Schlupp.
Schlupp, of course, is a Premier League winner, having won the title with Leicester City before joining Palace.
Last season, Oliver Glasner praised the winger as ‘amazing’ after he scored a goal against Fulham.
However, it appears that Palace may now attempt to trade Schlupp, depending on Celtic’s level of interest and willingness to pay.
Schlupp could thrive in Scotland
Jeffrey Schlupp’s Premier League career includes a memorable title win with Leicester.
At this point in his career, a move to Celtic may be significant, and he is sure to prosper in Scotland.
Schlupp has power, pace, and, as Glasner stated, a keen eye for goal.
Palace, of course, will want a reasonable amount for Schlupp and will not rush to sell him.
However, with Wilf Zaha potentially returning and Palace looking to push on under Glasner, Schlupp may find it difficult to turn down Celtic right now.
