Aston Villa star targeted by Bournemouth as a potential £60 million move.
The manager of Tottenham Hotspur spoke with football.london the necessity for the team to acquire a new striker who meets his specifications, as doing so might have a significant impact on Aston Villa.
If Spurts make a bid for their £60 million-rated forward, Dominic Solanke, Bournemouth is considering a move for Aston Villa forward Cameron Archer for the upcoming Premier League season.
The Spurs superstar verified to Football, our sister title.London that Solanke is reportedly top of the club’s wish list as they look to add another striker for the next campaign.
Spurs need to strengthen their roster of homegrown players, and Solanke fits the bill. However, Solanke comes with a high price tag—some have estimated that a transfer fee of up to £60 million may be needed to get him out—and Cherries owner Bill Foley acknowledged last month that the striker has a release clause worth roughly £65 million.
They have been considering Villa forward Archer among other players to replace Solanke should he go down.
After Sheffield United’s relegation from the Premier League last summer, the striker returned to Villa. Villa may profit from Archer once again if their value is satisfied, despite the possibility that Jhon Duran may also depart during this window.
