Announcement Soon ;Celtic player deal agreed, big pay rise – Sources

After progress in negotiations, Celtic wonder Daniel Kelly has agreed to a new deal, sources have told Football Insider.

Kelly, 18, is rumored to have reached an agreement to extend his current Hoops contract for a further four years, with a substantial salary increase.

The agreement will soon be made public and is expected to be finalized shortly.

This season, the midfielder has established himself in the Celtic first squad. In their 7-1 league opening against Dundee last month (February 28), he scored his first goal as a senior.

Brendan Rodgers brought him into the first team after he had shown promise with the under-19s in the UEFA Youth League and with Celtic’s B team in the Lowland Football League.

Daniel Kelly, the sensational Celtic, comes to an understanding.
In January, he made his senior debut against Buckie Thistle in the Hoops’ Scottish Cup fourth-round match.

Since then, Kelly has been a consistent bench player and has appeared as a substitute twice in the last two league games for Celtic.

After joining the team at the age of eight, the Scot signed his first professional deal with them in 2022.

With Scotland’s under-19 team, he has gained prominence on a global scale. He was just called up for their matches during the forthcoming international break this month.

The player, who was born in 2005, has filled the positions of offensive, central, and defensive midfielder. This season, he has scored four goals for both the senior and youth teams across all competitions.

In addition to being second in the league, Celtic recently defeated Livingston 4–2 on Sunday, March 10, to advance to the Scottish Cup semi-finals.

The next time they play in the league is this Saturday afternoon (16 March), against St Johnstone.
