After having three managers in control of the team this season, Sunderland is ready to name another permanent manager in the summer.

Michael Beale was fired by Sunderland last month, and Mike Dodds took over as manager until the

summer.

Dodds became the third manager of Sunderland this season after Tony Mowbray led the Black Cats into

this current campaign.

But Dodds has so far struggled to get Sunderland going; he’s lost all four of his games in charge so far

and Sunderland have lost their last six in the Championship.

It’s said that Will Still is Sunderland’s ideal managerial appointment this summer.

Though with Reims flying high in Ligue 1 and potentially qualifying for European football next season,

Still could be a tough appointment for the Black Cats to pull off.

With that in mind, here are three alternatives Sunderland could find in the Football League…

Danny Rohl could be made for Sunderland

Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl is turning heads in the Championship.

Though they have won five of their previous seven games, his team is still in 23rd place in the standings

and currently only nine points separates them and Sunderland.

And Rohl has been in charge of this turn around in results by playing some incredibly adventurous and

exciting football, competing against some of the league’s top teams, and developing some true jewels out

of his younger players.

At 34, Rohl is the youngest manager in the Football League, and Sunderland may be seriously drawn to

him because of his track record in the Championship and his ability to work with younger players.
