Liverpool and Rangers are vying for a spot in the championship game.
A potential logistical problem for Rangers versus Liverpool in the Europa League final has been alluded to by UEFA secretary Theodore Theodoridis.
Both teams have advanced to the competition’s round of 16. The Reds are virtually through after crushing Sparta Prague 5-1 away from home, while the Light Blues are tied at 2-2 with Benfica ahead of a second leg at home.
When the two faced up in the Champions League during the 22–23 season, Liverpool prevailed in both games. The European League final this year will take place in Dublin, and the organising group is preparing for the logistical problems that the large number of spectators in the Irish capital may bring.
On May 22, Croke Park, which can accommodate 82,000 people, might be used as a fan area.Theodoridis of UEFA identified the potential issues but did not identify the clubs. “The Europa League final could be one of our biggest challenges this year,” he stated.

“Although Croke Park has already been designated for possible public viewing, that may not be sufficient. In collaboration with Football Supporters Europe and the local government, we have already begun work on this.
“To determine the best answer, we will consult the supporters of the participating clubs if we do reach one of those scenarios. The largest issue at hand is whether Croke Park will be large enough; we believe that extra options for public viewing would be necessary to accommodate the number of people that would be in Dublin.
It’s not a simple process, and it’s just for a few scenarios, which would make it very difficult, particularly for clubs that already have a sizable fan following on the island of Ireland. But we are addressing it and will include the fan bases in our efforts. Before we begin working with them as well, we must see who advances to the semifinals.
