Fresh details emerge over Everton, Spurs interest in Hull City star Jacob Greaves

According to Football Insider, Hull City player Jacob Greaves has been linked to both Everton and Tottenham Hotspur; however, the Toffees must remain in the top division in order to sign him, while Spurs’ interest has diminished.

Hull City center-back Links between Greaves and teams like Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are not new; he has long been one of the Championship’s most impressive defenders.

According to reports, the Toffees have been considering the 23-year-old as a possible Jarrad Branthwaite successor. Meanwhile, it’s said that Spurs and their Premier League rivals have been monitoring Greaves together.

However, new reports on the interest of the top-tier pair have surfaced from Football Insider.

According to their source, even though Everton is a big fan of the Hull City academy graduate, if they want to lure Greaves to Merseyside next summertime, they will have to avoid falling down to the second division.

According to reports, Spurs were interested in the links but have since signed Radu Dragusin in the summer. With his arrival, a summer transfer for a new center-back is not as necessary.

Greaves is “likely” to transfer to the Premier League if the Tigers are not promoted.

What adventures is the summer going to bring?

Hull City is a very aspirational team, and they will want to hang onto Greaves no matter how the season plays out because they want to get back to the Premier League. If they stay in the second division, that might get complicated because the defender, who was born in Cottingham, is only getting better.

Being a young, left-footed English centre defender, he will be seen as a significant asset by certain clubs. Greaves has a high ceiling, so he can only become better, thus it seems sense to work things out before he advances much farther.Greaves, though, will be entirely concentrated on the task at hand at the MKM Stadium until summertime rolls around. Seventh-place Hull City and sixth-place Norwich City are tied on points in the Championship table following four straight draws.
