Football Insider has received information from sources that Everton has found a “ready-made” Jarrad Branthwaite substitute ahead of the summer transfer window.
Premier League teams are very interested in 21-year-old Branthwaite ahead of the off-season.
But on Monday, March 11, Football Insider disclosed that Everton has a strong interest in Hull City defender Jacob Greaves, who is 23 years old.
This season, in the Championship, the 23-year-old has made an impression for the Tigers, making them a serious challenger to secure a postseason spot.
Greaves is thought to be the inevitable choice by Everton officials to take Branthwaite’s spot in the middle of the Goodison Park defence.

The Hull star has also been linked to Tottenham, although sources claim that their interest is not nearly as great now that Radu Dragusin has joined the team from Genoa in January.
Football Insider has been informed by a reliable source that Greaves will probably transfer to the top tier if Hull isn’t promoted this year. However, Everton must stay in the league in order for Greaves to make the move.
With 36 games in the Championship this season, the defender—whose contract expires in June 2026—has two goals and four assists.
Football Insider reported last month (February 5) that Man United is in the lead to capture Everton defender Branthwaite before the summer transfer window opens.
His performances in the Premier League this season have made him one of Europe’s most sought-after defenders.
