Celtic news: Hutton unimpressed by what he’s seen of Adam Idah and Kyogo Furuhashi

Adam Idah and Kyogo Furuhashi, two Celtic strikers, have not impressed recently.

Former Rangers and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton insisted that one of the two must “grab games by both hands” to guarantee a spot in the starting lineup going forward, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.

Idah has managed five goals and one assist in his first six games, whereas Kyogo has struggled recently, having only scored one goal in his past eight league appearances.

But after Celtic’s recent 2-0 loss to Hearts, both performed poorly, and supporters have questioned who player Rodgers should start with.

Adam Idah and Kyogo Furuhashi, two Celtic stars, have not impressed.

Hutton stated that Rodgers will keep playing both players until one “grasps their opportunity” and asserted that neither has performed well enough to be first choice.

He said to Football Insider, “If Rodgers is going to start a striker, they need to be putting in top performances.”

“At this point in time, neither Idah nor Kyogo seem to be doing that.”

“Idah has entered the game and scored goals, but more balls into the box are needed for him.”

It will always be challenging if they aren’t doing it.

“He can hold it up, whereas Kyogo isn’t the kind of player who can do that.

It’s not looking good for me right now, therefore you need someone to go grab games by both hands.

“Kyogo is the man for big games, and if it’s a Rangers game or anything similar, I believe Rodgers will go back to that.

“Time will tell, but ultimately, the players must seize their opportunities.”
