BRENDAN RODGERS SAYS CELTIC ‘SHORT OF EXPERIENCE AND QUALITY’ TO COMPETE IN CHAMPIONS LEAGUE AFTER LAZIO LOSS
After a heartbreaking loss to Lazio on Tuesday, Celtic’s Champions League campaign came to an end.
After five games in this year’s competition, the Scottish champions are still without a win, and Brendan
Rodgers, the manager of Celtic, thinks that the team’s primary problem is a lack of quality and
experience. Celtic will not qualify for the UEFA Europa League since they will finish bottom of their
group.
UEFA Champions League competitor Brendan Rodgers stated that Celtic are “short of experience and
quality” to compete in the competition after the team was eliminated on Tuesday from European play.
At Lazio, the Scottish champions lost 2-0, with goals from replacement Ciro Immobile in the 82nd and
85th minutes.
To maintain their chances of making up to the UEFA Europa League or the Champions League knockout
stages, Celtic needed to win.
