Danny Murphy predicts whether Everton will be relegated from the Premier League this season

Everton is undoubtedly involved in a relegation struggle again, having just avoided the drop in the previous two seasons.

But it was believed that Sean Dyche, with his knowledge of the bottom echelons of the Premier League, would have made sure this was a year of advancement. Not many could have anticipated the off-field shenanigans that transpired.

They presently have just 25 points, four points behind Luton Town, who play tonight, in 18th position, despite having really earned 31.

For the Toffees, relegation is still a frightening possibility, and now a new forecast has been released.

Danny Murphy’s remarks regarding Everton

Speaking live on talkSPORT earlier today (13/03, 10:40 am), Jim White, Simon Jordan, and Danny Murphy were eager to talk about the relegation struggle.

The latter would state: “This is the message Rob Edwards has to keep giving to his Luton players because those couple of teams above are fighting for their lives.” This would start the argument, which was sparked by the praise Luton Town was receiving.

However, Everton’s season was encapsulated in that opening half versus Manchester United. They didn’t have that cutting edge, but they still played incredibly well until the last third.

The crucial query regarding Everton would then be posed by White: “Do they deserve to stay in the Premier League?”

Murphy retorted, “They’re in a world of trouble if they continue on the way they are.” My instinct tells me that Dyche has experienced this role with Burnley before and has earned it. The Everton players won’t lose hope because they will continue to be told what to do by the management.

Everton have more than enough to avoid relegation

As previously noted, this team has really accumulated enough points to occupy the 14th spot in the rankings.

They are not in such a safe position due only to the ownership’s misbehaviour.

This is a totally dulled side, with a misfiring striking force and wingers who have lost their creative spark. Thankfully, despite recent setbacks, they are still unwavering at the back.

Not only are the conditions for success met, but opportunities are also being created.

They simply seem to be going to fly back up the table as soon as everything clicks and they get some confidence again.

But till then, supporters need to support these players. Evidently devoid of faith, a quick vacation in Portugal ought to do wonders for enabling them to go, clear their heads, and return prepared to send the Toffees to the safety Murphy foresees.
