When Jobe and the rest of the team rushed over to the away support to celebrate, you could tell exactly

how much it meant to them. It felt like what might turn out to be a turning moment in a disastrous start

to 2024.

Nevertheless, Sunderland would never have such an easy result, as Dan Ballard’s injury forced him off

the field once more. considerably if this would have been disastrous on its own, Mike Dodds’ choice to

replace him with Callum Styles made it considerably worse.
