‘I’ll be back soon’… Nottingham Forest 24-year-old says he’s almost ready to return from injury

Nottingham Forest defender Nuno Tavares gave an update on his latest injury setback. The player hasn’t appeared on the field since West Ham’s 2-0 triumph in February.

A Portuguese publication called Jornal de Noticias has conducted an interview with the football player. Harry Toffolo has replaced John Tavares, who has missed the last three Premier League games.

It’s obvious that Forest, 24, has been missed because he has lost all three of the games he has missed.

Well, it would appear as though the talented left-back isn’t going to be out of action too long. His injury isn’t thought to be too serious and this update is most welcomed.

Tavares has been speaking following his injury and it would appear that he will be back in no time at all to aid the Forest cause.

“It was because I skipped my pre-season training that I sustained my first injury,” he told Jornal de Noticias. Right up until I was hurt again, I was fine. I’m sorry for not being doing what I love, but I’ll be back soon.”

Tavares might not have had a chance to play against Forest right away. After taking the player on loan from Arsenal, Steve Cooper didn’t really give him any playing time.
