DT Jordan Elliott, 49ers agree to two-year, $10M contract, per agent

The original story about 49ers and DT Jordan Elliott agreeing to a two-year, $10 million contract was published by NBC Sports Bay Area.

The 49ers strengthened their defensive line from the inside out.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Tuesday that defensive tackle Jordan Elliott and San Francisco have reached an agreement on a two-year, $10 million contract.

Malki Kawa, Elliott’s representative, seemed to corroborate the rumour in a post on X, the website that was then known as Twitter.

Elliott was chosen No. 88 overall in the 2020 NFL Draft and played his first four seasons as a professional with the Cleveland Browns. Over the course of the last two seasons, the 26-year-old has made appearances in 31 regular-season starts out of his 66 NFL games.

In 466 snaps during the previous season, Elliott recorded 2.5 sacks, three tackles for loss, and three quarterback hits. Elliott was a vital component of the Browns’ offensive line, which concluded the 2023 campaign as the top-ranked defensive unit in the NFL.

Following the rumoured exits of Javon Kinlaw and Aaron Armstead, Elliott provides the 49ers with a reliable plug-and-play alternative to complement Javon Hargrave.
