Bold Warnock claim
Neil Warnock, the manager of Aberdeen who is leaving the team, thinks his previous team can contend with Celtic and Rangers for championships in the future. Following Aberdeen’s Scottish Cup victory over Kilmarnock on Saturday, Warnock resigned as Aberdeen’s temporary manager.
Although Warnock has only managed eight games, Aberdeen is rumoured to be in advanced negotiations with Pittodrie regarding a permanent option to take over the dugout. However, it appeared that the seasoned boss had observed enough to issue a warning to the two massive Glasgow players.
Warnock said to RedTV, “I wish I’d been here a year and had two windows, and Dave [Cormack] supported me like he does.” “If you bring in the right players, I think you could compete with the top two teams without spending a lot of money.”
Johnston impressing at Albion
Mikey Johnston’s loan move from Celtic to West Bromwich Albion has been pushed to become permanent in the summer. In his eight outings since joining the Hawthorns during the January transfer window, the 24-year-old has already scored four goals.
