Mike Dodds, the manager of Sunderland, has disclosed a new set of injuries for his team.

Southampton defeated the Black Cats for the sixth time in a row on Saturday, leaving Dodds’ team nine points clear of the drop zone ahead of a challenging matchup at home against QPR the following weekend.

After Romaine Mundle’s first-ever senior goal drew one back, Jobe Bellingham curled one from long range into the top corner.

However, Joe Rothwell quickly scored twice to give Southampton a 4-2 victory.

Mike Dodds confirms Dan Ballard injury blow for Sunderland

The game yesterday had a lot of bad aspects and not many favorable ones.

“Dan attempted to continue playing, but I don’t want to fan the flames because I’m not really sure at this time.

It’s not good that he came off with a hamstring issue. Whether it’s a minor or large issue, I won’t remark just yet because he will be evaluated on Monday.

“At the moment, he’s in a tight spot but feels good about himself. He’s not overly anxious, but we’ll see.” All we can do is wait and see.

Sunderland facing defender crisis for QPR

Sunderland will host QPR at the Stadium of Light the following weekend when they return.

However, it appears that Dodds will be without Ballard in addition to Luke O’Nien, who is suspended, which presents a little bit of a defensive issue.

Without a doubt, Jenson Seelt will hold onto his position, and Trai Hume is likely to be the player Dodds shifts into the midfield, which may present Timothee Pembele with an uncommon opportunity to start.
