26-year-old makes first start since Boxing Day, striker dropped… Nottingham Forest predicted XI vs Brighton
This afternoon, Nottingham Forest takes on Brighton, and we’ve looked at a possible lineup that Nuno Espirito Santo might use.
The Reds want to recover from their setback from the previous week. Nine minutes into injury time, Darwin Nunez scored the game’s only goal as Forest fell to Liverpool 1-0.
Ahead of today, we’ve looked at a predicted team that Forest could deploy against the Seagulls…
Predicted Nottingham Forest team to play Brighton
The rearguard of Forest
This is where the game will ultimately be won or lost.
It should be another long afternoon if Forest shows up and defends like they did against Aston Villa.
In light of this, we believe Espirito Santo will start against Brighton with a tried-and-true back five.
All five of Forest’s players, in our opinion, will remain in their positions after the team almost earned a crucial point against Liverpool.

The Forest engine room
This could prove a bit of a conundrum for Espirito Santo and we think Ibrahim Sangare could play for the first time since Boxing Day.
He was back on the bench last week after his African Cup of Nations exploits.
Providing he passes a fitness test Nicolas Dominguez should get the nod ahead of Ryan Yates and Danilo who will both make the bench.
Leading the Forest line
Although Taiwo Awoniyi was on the bench during the Liverpool match, he should be available today.
We believe that Awoniyi will rejoin the club in Brighton, replacing Divock Origi in the starting lineup.
We anticipate that Anthony Elanga, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Morgan Gibbs-White will all remain in their positions behind him.
