Jobe Bellingham scored a stunning long-range goal for Sunderland against Southampton in the Championship on Saturday

In Sunderland’s Championship match against Southampton on Saturday, Jobe Bellingham scored an incredible long-range goal that reminded him of one of his brother Jude’s goals at Real Madrid.

Bellingham moved a few steps inside and curled a wonderful attempt into the upper corner just outside the area on the left.

The midfielder’s sixth league goal of the year did not save Sunderland from a 4-2 loss to the Mackems on the south coast, but it was again another example of this young man’s exceptional abilities.

Jude, Jobe’s brother, is two years older than Jobe, and the two began their careers at Birmingham City.

While Jude joined Borussia Dortmund and later Real Madrid, Jobe left Birmingham for Sunderland last summer.

It has been reported that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the younger man, too, who has represented England at Under-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19 level.

Jude, on the other hand, will miss some time from Real Madrid’s La Liga action after receiving a two-match ban for getting red carded during last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Valencia.

Bellingham was dismissed for his complaints after he believed he had handed Madrid a thrilling late winner, only to have his attempt disregarded since the final whistle had already been blown.

Starting with Sunday’s encounter against the Galicians at the Santiago Bernabeu, he will miss the games against Celta Vigo and Osasuna.
