For Sunderland’s match against Southampton today, Mike Dodds has made three changes to the starting lineup.
Without Luke O’Nien due to suspension, Dodds has gone back to using a back four, with Trai Hume, Jenson Seelt, Dan Ballard, and Leo Hjelde forming the back line.
Dan Neil, Chris Rigg, and Jobe Bellingham remain in the team, but Abdoullah Ba, Romaine Mundle, and Mason Burstow are fresh additions to the assault. O’Nien, Pierre Ekwah, and Hemir are replaced by the three.
Harrison Jones, a teenager, is listed as one of the replacements.
In light of Southampton’s triumph at Birmingham last week, Russell Martin has picked an unchanged Southampton squad.
