Southampton vs Sunderland team news: Mike Dodds makes three changes
Dodds has returned to a back four in the absence of suspended Luke O’Nien, with Trai Hume, Jenson Seelt, Dan Ballard, and Leo Hjelde forming the back line.
Dan Neil, Chris Rigg, and Jobe Bellingham remain in the side, but the offense has a new appearance with Abdoullah Ba, Romaine Mundle, and Mason Burstow joining. The trio replaces O’Nien, Pierre Ekwah, and Hemir.
Harrison Jones, a teenager, has been named as a substitute.
Russell Martin has chosen an unchanged Southampton team following last week’s triumph at Birmingham.
