Rodgers’ frightening report on McGregor’s injury remains inconclusive.

Inconclusive- Rodgers’ worrying update on McGregor’s injury

The midfielder was substituted at halftime in Dundee’s 7-1 victory before missing the defeat to Hearts last weekend.

Celtic’s trip to Livingston on March 31 has been penciled in lightly for his comeback, with Brendan Rodgers cancelling the two home games before the international break.

How is Callum McGregor doing following his scan?

Inconclusive, really. I believe we had already decided that he would miss till the international break and then proceed from there. He traveled for the scan, but nothing particularly stood out. We will analyze it in the next weeks. We just have to observe how it feels on a daily basis.

Paulo Bernardo replaced McGregor against Hearts; he was replaced at halftime by Kyogo Furuhashi, and Daniel Kelly finished the match alongside Matt O’Riley.

Odin Thiago Holm is Rodgers’ other midfield option, but without McGregor and Reo Hatate, the Celtic manager is really low on choices in that area of the pitch.

Bringing the captain back to play on Livingston’s artificial field would be risky, as the following fixture is at Ibrox.
