Stefano Pioli will not speak to the media at his usual pre-match press conference for the encounter with Empoli. It’s a decision that he took along with the media department, seeing as the schedule is rather tight.
On the day of the game, Pioli often addresses the media and responds to their inquiries at 14:00 or 14:30. This won’t be the case today, though, since the manager has chosen against holding a press conference, which makes sense in retrospect.
Pioli gave a speech at the press conference on Wednesday and fielded questions following the game when Milan took on Slavia Praha on Thursday. As a result, he and the media department believed that today’s news conference was unnecessary.
After the 3-0 victory over Stade Rennes, the same choice was made prior to the match against Monza, and it is probably going to stay that way going forward. That is, of course, assuming the Rossoneri get to the Europa League quarterfinals.
In addition, Pioli is anticipated to make a few adjustments to the starting lineup, one of which will be the substitution of Noah Okafor for Rafael Leao. It’s unclear how much the suspended Portuguese winger will be missed.
