‘Lazy’: Rio Ferdinand blasts Everton player after what he saw against Man United

Everton has now lost their last eleven Premier League games after Manchester United defeated them 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Sean Dyche’s team had a similar experience, squandering good chances and possession because of a deficiency of offensive players.

Erik Ten Hag’s team overcame their Sunday loss to Manchester City thanks to two goals in the first half.

The initial spot-kick was awarded to Alejandro Garnacho after a poor tackle by James Tarkowski.

Since then, Rio Ferdinand has spoken on the situation.

Rio Ferdinand lashes out at James Tarkowski, an Everton defender.

The former England and Manchester United defender said, speaking on TNT Sports: “He’s the one highlighted there; he doesn’t stop and watch; he runs from deep, and then Tarkowski makes a clumsy tackle.” It’s almost sluggish.

Ferdinand is accurate. For the usually dependable 31-year-old, it was an unexpected challenge. The Argentine was still a good distance from goal even if he had stayed upright.

Positives can be drawn from the loss once more.According to FotMob, Everton had 23 shots whereas United had 15. But with only six hitting the mark, it’s obvious where the issues are.

During the next three weeks off, Dyche must make the most of every opportunity to add quality in front of goal and convert good positions into goals.

Everton FC v West Ham United - Premier League

It’s possible that the Everton manager is keen to take a break from the spotlight. The longer the club goes without a win, the more pressure there is every week.

When the Premier League resumes during the Easter weekend, there will be two more away trips: to Bournemouth and Newcastle United.

While there are encouraging indicators, it is now imperative for everyone at Goodison Park to convert these performances and places into points.

Luton Town and Nottingham Forest dropping points is hardly a guarantee for Everton. Forest can definitely compete in this hotly contested relegation race, as evidenced by their late loss to Liverpool.
